Asian pears have been cultivated in China for over three thousand years. We grow the Hosui variety which is very sweet and juicy with a delicate aroma. Hosui are large round beautiful fruits, when ripe they turn a bronze-brown color. Hosui pears make a delicate jam, very light but flavorful.

This is one of the best jams I've ever eaten. I was so sad when the jar was empty... The vanilla was the perfect balance to the sweetness of the pears. I used it on toast and served it with a meat and cheese board - perfect. I'm looking forward to adding it to gift baskets for a variety of occasions this year. Can't wait for the next batch!
